like all of us maintaining and building a presence on the web, i am curious as to what drives traffic to my site.

this, typically, refers to relevant google searches, subscribers, stumbleupon, etc. what i couldn’t quite figure is how the two nonsense words that title this post would bring someone – bless you, whoever you are – here, and specifically to ‘72 gay virgins at monkeyhowl’, the site’s very first posting…

well, turns out that this catchphrase – that i now understand originated with with the african percussionist jimmy scott before it was put to music by macca – was inserted seemingly willy nilly into a comment by good friend andthentherewaslight.

and, happily, when mr. scott’s sunny contribution to the world’s venacular is searched, monkeyhowl enjoys pride of place.
